Coulter pine cones, from the Coulter Pine Tree, grown in inland central South Island of NZ, throughout Central Otago and South Canterbury. It takes at least 2-3 years for a pine cone to grow, making these cones a rare commodity. The cones are opened using extreme heat, destroying most chances for the seeds to germinate. There are approximately 170-200 seeds in every pine cone and for obvious reasons, it is nigh possible to remove all of these prior to despatch. Therefore we cannot guarantee that these will pass the customs requirements of many countries.
